What do you know about the November Election?

When I start talking with folks about the November 2019 election, the first response is usually “What election?”  Well, for starters, everyone in Ellis County will have the opportunity to vote on 10 proposed Texas Constitutional amendments.  Everyone in Waxahachie will also have the ability to vote on the aforementioned Constitutional amendments AND on a proposition to change how our City Council is elected.

I am personally against this proposed Waxahachie City Charter Amendment for multiple reasons.  I’ve put together a flyer which can give you a pretty good understanding of how our system is now and why I’m against this change.

Here is the link to that flyer (pictured above and to the left): Waxahachie November 2019 Election Tri-fold Brochure

Don’t forget to get out and vote, with Early Voting starting Monday, October 21, 2019. More details are available on the Ellis County Elections website   http://www.co.ellis.tx.us/629/Upcoming-Elections  and the flyer linked above.

The Waxahachie Daily Light has an article on the election and briefly summarizes each proposed state Constitutional amendment.
