Hello Neighbors!
I have created a
blog (it is still a bit rough since I’m new to this) so that it is
easier to communicate with everyone and in particular, those who do not
use Facebook or Nextdoor can still get the information. I hope that
this is helpful. Please subscribe to the blog so you can get
notifications when there are new posts!
Now then, we’ve got a very busy week of meetings, so let’s get started!
Monday, September 9, 2019

7:00 PM - P&Z Commission Meeting
Council Chamber, City Hall
Agenda Packet:
http://www.waxahachie.com/9-10-19%20P&Z%20Agenda%20Packet.pdf
The
first few items on the agenda have been withdrawn or continued to a
later date; however, there are some items that may be of interest.
#
11 - Replat for the former First Baptist Church. This item is on the
agenda as "consider" and is not a public hearing. As far as replats
go, if the applicant meets the guidelines, then they will be approved.
#
13 & 14 - Public Hearing regarding an SUP (Specific Use Permit)
for solar panels at 311 Choctaw Trail. At this time, staff is
recommending denial due to the solar panels facing the ROW
(right-of-way). While I'm not a fan of how solar panels look, I AM a fan
of people having the right to put them on their homes.
#
15 & 16 - Public Hearing on application from Blue Bonnet Trails LLC
to change their current PD (planned development) from SF2 into SF3
zoning, which is still single family, but smaller lots. Staff is
recommending denial at this time due to the lots being below the minimum
requirement for the proposed development.
